Hello 852

Flight Shmight, traveling for 23 hours was tiring but I guess well worth it since I'm not on the plane forever. That's not really too interesting anyway.

I guess there's many happenings in life since getting back to the 852. It's a lot of organizing of meet ups, hanging out with family, seeing people that you haven't seen for ages, and yea just lots going on. Within the span of a week, I had the opportunity to:

Meet up with a childhood friend.

An interesting character, my childhood friend. We met when I was four. We've definitely had very random run into each others after I moved schools in grade 5. There was that time in grade 6 when I started Chinese school @ Langara. There was that time in grade 9 when I started going to that Math Tutor @ Oakridge. I guess it's always a small world and even when you least suspect we had encounters. Anyway, after a four hour lunch, shop-around – we didn't really have anything to talk about. I guess I just took the opportunity to drag it out, and see what more was in store. Come to it, we talked about what we had in common and what really was still going on for her. Cadets. Great thing, but there wasn't really a conversation beyond that. I asked about what she had planned after a year of college. None. Was she going to be a cadet officer? No idea. Anyway, we all get the point. Our next encounter wherever and whenever it may be, I hope to once again have a four hour conversation but less beating around the bush for me to find topics to talk about?

Go back to the high school for a visit
Always an interesting and intriguing place. Although I didn't really "plan" my visit, I got a lot out of it. Got to chat about my new adventures, hear hilarious stories, quick hellos and goodbyes. I'm going to be back to get some studying done. So more to come?

Dim Sum with the fam
There is never a dull moment when you have dim sum with extended family. It's always a large gathering of people with conversations that go on and on. I guess I enjoy them more now being older and more outgoing in comparison to before. There's definitely something unique about it that words can't really describe, so I won't.

Wisdom Teeth
Always a fun excursion to the dentist. Insert sarcastic laugh here. I don't think I really felt much pain before or after. It was rather soreness of the jaw. I was also glad that they opt to take two out at a time so you can eat on one side. Three days later, the inflammation is gone, just a stiff jaw and a limited angle of opening in the mouth. Didn't really need the crazy pills they gave me so they're just sitting on my desk.
